Functionality
- KARAT-306 is ideal for buildings. The meter is simple to install, read and verify. KARAT-306 contributes to keeping the annual operating costs at a minimum with its unique combination of high measuring accuracy and long lifetime.
- KARAT-306 has a leakage control function. This function is available in case the calculator is connected to flow meters installed in both inlet and outlet pipes.
- KARAT-306 receives volume pulses from connected flow meters and calculates energy for every predetermined water volume. The energy calculation includes temperature measurements in inlet and outlet pipes.
- KARAT-306 can be equipped by 3.6 V lithium battery, or powered by 24 VDC external power supply.
- KARAT-306 is equipped by optical interface and can have of the following four interfaces: RS-485, RS-232, M-Bus or LoRaWAN by order. Due to these modules remote data reading is possible.
- KARAT-306 calculates energy according to the formula described in EN 1434-1:2011.
The energy calculation in a simplified way be expressed as:
Energy = V x ∆Θ x k.
V is the supplied water volume
∆Θ is the temperature difference measured
k is the thermal coefficient of water
